What does this church believe? There are five foundational points of faith that we hold about which there can be no compromise. Everything we believe and practice at Harvest Christian Church is either an application or an implication of these foundational truths.

If you have specific questions about our beliefs, please feel free to call our minister, Charlie Crowe, and set up a time to have a conversation about the questions you may have. We also recommend you participate in our Discovering Harvest class, which is scheduled quarterly.

The inspiration of the Bible

We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God. It is not the result of human authorship but as guided by the Holy Spirit, men wrote as they were directed. It is therefore free from error and the only reliable guide for our faith and conduct.

The virgin birth of Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus was the son of the virgin Mary and that His biological father was the Holy Spirit who impregnated Mary. Jesus is therefore fully human and fully God. He was God incarnate or God in flesh.

The sinless life of Jesus Christ and the atonement of His death

We believe that Jesus lived his whole life absolutely free of sin and was as innocent at the time of His death as He was on the day of His birth. As the sinless infinite God-man He was able to, on the cross, take on himself all the sin of all mankind and to be the sacrifice that takes our sins away. Jesus’ death was no mere symbol or example but was the point in which the punishment that was deserved by guilty humanity was taken by an innocent Savior.

The literal physical resurrection of Jesus Christ

We believe that three days after His death and burial, Jesus was resurrected to life by the power of God the Father. His resurrection is proof of his claims and of the sacrificial purpose of the cross.

The literal physical Second Coming of Jesus

We believe that Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father in Heaven. While there, He has sent the Holy Spirit to guide and guard the church and to empower individual Christians for ministry. At one day in the future Jesus will physically and literally return at which time he will judge all people both living and dead.
